  1. This was an amazing book. I love that it is in both English and Spanish. Halfway through the book I thought this may have been a biography of Diego Rivera. This was a great story in child friendly language,

  2. This was an awesome book! I think it would be great to read during an “International Week” at school and have children create a painting based on what they read in the story. I loved that the story was in two languages- one being in the native language and the other in English. The illustrations in the story were extremely relevant to what was being read.

    • I was thinking the same thing. My school is having our Multicultural Night next month and I think I will use this book to introduce another culture to my students.

  3. Great way to expose students to aspects of a culture they might not be familiar with. With both languages on the printed page, this as a shared reading experience could help build bridges between ESL students and regular ed students.

  4. This is a very good book. I felt it was culturally responsive. I loved the illustrations.
