  1. I think the author is creating a theme of making the best out of the situation you are in. Just like when the bird flies out of the airport and finally is heading home.

  2. I believe that the author is creating a theme that things will get better if you continue to believe.

  3. The author theme is reminding the audience to focus on the bird. Andrew is homeless and feels he will never escape the airport. However, he remembers the bird was stuck as well until the door moved and the bird was free to sing.

  4. I think that the theme(s) that the author is trying to convey are acceptance, growth, and relationships.

  5. I think one of the themes in this story is being grateful for what you have, even when you do not have anything. Even when the little boy was upset, he tried to focus on the positives of eventually being free.
